Bol - situated on Brac Island - is known for its beautiful beaches made of sand-like white pebbles. The most famous one called 'Zlatni Rat' is considered the most beautiful of the Adriatic Sea. As you can see on the photo above it stretches almost half a kilometre towards the neighbouring Island of Hvar.
The waters in the 'Hvar Channel' in front of the island offer ideal conditions for windsurfing. This is why Bol became the windsurfing centre of the Croatian Adriatic.
Each Spring Bol organizes the WTA Croatian Ladies Open, the most important tennis tournament in this part of Europe. Of course, the tennis centre welcomes guests who play tennis just for recreation and fun.
In the historical centre of Bol visitors will find narrow streets, cafes, many historical buildings (e.g. the Church of St. John and Theodore, 9th century; the Dominican Monastery, 1483), galleries and museums.
