The International Airport of Dubrovnik is situated 17 km southeast of the town.
From the airport to the town a bus-shuttle operates for regular flights. The buses stop at the Old Town of Dubrovnik prior to the main bus station.

Regular car-carrying ferries run between Dubrovnik and Rijeka and between Dubrovnik and Bari (IT).

From Zagreb drive in direction of:
Karlovac - Slunj - Plitvice Lakes - Gracac - Knin - Sinj - Trilj - Cista Provo - Brela - Dubrovnik (distance: about 570 km)
From Rijeka drive along the Adriatic Coast in direction of:
Zadar - Split - Dubrovnik (distance: about 560 km)
In both cases it's about a 10 - 12 hours drive. Why not a stop and overnight stay at the Plitvice Lakes, Croatia's most famous national park?

Important Information:
Since July 2004 you can also use the new motorway from Zagreb to Split (Dalmatina). The new possible routes are:
Zagreb - Karlovac - Split - Dubrovnik or Rijeka - Senj - Zuta Lokva - Split - Dubrovnik
