Ogulin - Central Croatia
From Ogulin three Croatian National Parks can easily be reached. The distance to each is only about one hour by car.
The journey to Zagreb, Croatia's capital or to Senj on the Adriatic Coast is even shorter.
Truly, the geographical location of Ogulin is perfect!
Of the three Parks Plitvice Lakes are probably the best known.
With its sixteen lakes, innumerable waterfalls, streams and brooks Plitvice is a real must for a visit.
For nature lovers the two National Parks Risnjak and Northern Velebit offer many trekking paths in carefully preserved nature.

Ogulin - Homeland of Fairy-Tales
The proximity to the parks is only one aspect, Ogulin itself will surprise visitors!
Southwest of Ogulin the famous and impressive Klek Mountain rises to 1182 m and - as residents say - protects the town.
In the southern suburb of the town the Sabljaci Lake offers both, possibilities for a restful gentle walk and a beach categorised with blue flag.
In the very centre of the town the River Dobra passes through an impressive canyon prior to disappearing completely in a mysterious cave.
Castle, lakes, rivers, caves, deep forests... The high concentration of all these magnificent elements in a small area, have inspired people for centuries.
Innumerable fairy-tales and legends of witches, elves and romantic love abound. Today Ogulin is known as the Croatian Homeland of Fairy-Tales!
As one local legend has it, on the top of Klek Mountain witches regularly meet.
